(San Jose Costa Rica). – On Saturday, December 16, the country will feel, once again, the passion for cycling with the start of the Vuelta Costa Rica Telecable in its #57 edition.
The maximum Costa Rican pedal event will have 10 stages in 2023, will have a total of 1,170 kilometers and will pass through six of the seven provinces that make up the national territory.
This year, the person in charge of the competition is Donald Rojas, director of the Costa Rican Institute of Sports and Recreation (ICODER).
The activity, organized by the Costa Rican Cycling Federation (FECOCI), will feature the participation of seven national teams (the best in the national ranking) and six international teams from countries such as: Ecuador, Guatemala, Colombia, Holland and Mexico.

The international teams that will be present in Costa Rica for December will be the following:

- Global Cycling – Netherlands
“After almost a year of work we announce the #57 edition of the Vuelta, we have great news for this year, we will also have a great foreign and national participation, we expect an event of the highest caliber so that an entire country can enjoy this great event that will take place. is coming,” said Óscar Ávila, president of FECOCI.
As a striking aspect, this year the return will have a team time trial (CRE) for the third stage, in Guanacaste, and also, a stage starting and finishing at the National Stadium.
The Vuelta will have 16 flying goals distributed over the 10 days of competition, as well as 15 mountain prizes.

The person dedicated to the Vuelta Costa Rica Telecable 2023 will be the national director of the Costa Rican Institute of Sports and Recreation (ICODER), Donald Rojas Fernández.
Rojas assumed this position on August 29, 2022 and throughout his life he has actively participated in Costa Rican sports in different disciplines.
This year's recipient has a degree in Administration in Finance and Human Resources and held the Financial Administrative Directorate of Hospital México for more than 20 years.
Donald Rojas is 50 years old and will lead ICODER until 20206.
